One inbox covers everything: corrections, source pointers, and questions about a page.
What to send
- Corrections. The page, the figure, the value you believe is correct, and a link to the state agency, ordinance or DOL page that says so. Those get fixed fastest.
- New sources. If a page cites a rate that has moved, the agency notice of the effective date is the most useful thing you can send.
- Coverage requests. A wage topic that would fit one of the four sections, in one or two lines.
- Business enquiries. Anything commercial, licensing or advertising related.
How to reach us
Email is hello@statewages.com. There is no contact form to fight through and no ticket number. Replies generally arrive within a few working days.
Before you write
Two things worth checking first, because they account for a good share of messages.
- The rate you are looking at may have changed on 1 January, or on 1 July in the states that move mid-year. The last verified date on the page tells you when it was last checked, so compare that against the effective date of any newer change.
- Your city may be above your state. Several metro areas carry ordinances well over the state rate, and the page on city and state rates explains which one governs and why it follows your work location rather than your employer's address.
What we cannot do
We do not give individual legal advice, file claims, or chase an employer on your behalf. Where a page explains the process and the look-back period, follow that, and the state labour department is the free enforcement route.
Our takeCorrections get priority over everything else. A wrong rate is more damaging than a missing page, and a dated link to the agency source is enough to get a page updated.
